As an authorized repair center for Trimble Navigation, Ltd., GeoPlane Services offers to repair and maintain a wide range of survey and mapping equipment for existing GeoPlane customers.
As part of a diagnostic for a particular repair product, a preliminary assessment takes place. This assessment usually can be done over the phone with one of our qualified technicians. Some problems can be diagnosed and solved with this short phone call while others may require the equipment to be sent into our facilities for repair. If it is determined that the equipment needs to be sent in to our facilities for repair, an RMA (Return Material Authorization) number is assigned. To issue an RMA, we need the model and serial number of the equipment and a detailed description of the malfunction. Once the equipment is received at our facilities, our factory-trained technician diagnoses the problem and issues a Repair Authorization Form. The Repair Authorization Form will have the estimated cost to make the repair and needs to be approved by an authorized representative of the company requesting the repair. The time required to make the repair is within 2 weeks, depending on the supply of parts involved (in some cases, we can even make arrangements for a rental unit at a discounted rate while the equipment is on repair).
